These are unique times. If you are one of the many who had events scheduled during the COVID-19 quarantine, you may be debating if it\u2019s best to completely cancel your event or maybe just postpone. This can be a difficult decision to make and you may have difficulties weighing the pros and cons. Before you cancel your event completely, here are some things to consider postponing your event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You are giving people something to look forward to. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While it may be a bummer to have to cancel your event, postponing it will give your guests something to look forward to. In mists of a natural disaster or for safety concerns, your event will most likely be the rainbow when this rain finally stops. It is reassuring for people to know that while your event may not happen when scheduled, it will happen and good times will be had by all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s an opportunity for everyone to get together. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During a time like this, many of us have been isolated from our family and friends. Your event gives your loved ones a great opportunity to reconnect with one another. Your event helps people catch up with one another and lets them back into their lives once again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You are helping out small businesses. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We all know that this quarantine has been or will be financially devastating for many. By postponing your business, you are helping small businesses<\/a> such as the cater, venue, photographer, etc\u2026 keep their business afloat by not canceling your event completely. If there is work that they can count on at the end of this storm, many of these business owners will be forever grateful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you decided to postpone, remember to have a new date set and communicated to all your guests. You can even send an email invitation<\/a> announcing your event’s new date. Be sure to keep all guests up to date with the newest information. Always be generous with your gratitude for guests being patient and vendors willing to continue to work with you to keep your event alive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
