Heavy Manners Library
Hosted by stand-up comedian Kat Toledo

A one-night screening event featuring new work by Abigail Bruley, Jesse MoynihanJustin Moynihan, and Dan Colanduno.

Dark comedy, animated psychedelia, awkward honesty, and romantic messiness share the screen for one night only — hosted by the very funny Kat Toledo.

Featuring:

The Main Trilogy — Abigail Bruley

Winner, Best Dark Comedy: A surreal dark comedy told in three chapters following a sharp-tongued woman stumbling through reality as if it were a dream she can’t quite interpret after brain injury. From dodging divine intervention and derailing a family gathering to hitching a cab ride through the afterlife, the films explore grief, identity, and the absurdity of healing—with punk icons Ted Leo, Mannequin Pussy’s Marisa Dabice, and the legendary Sun Ra Arkestra shaping its sound and spirit.

🌕 Jesus 2 — Jesse Moynihan

The Oscar-qualifying, neo-psychedelic meditation on death and the afterlife. In a dystopian future where immortality is mandatory, two pirate siblings set out to eliminate a malevolent figure and finally break the curse of eternal life. From the Adventure Time and Midnight Gospel artist.

🛼 Always Crying Always in Love (Preview Scenes) — Justin Moynihan

A feature traumedy about roller skating, falling in love, and being messed up by life. Following sad-sap Shane Sama through lovesick teenage years and a midlife crisis — both unfolding through messy romance and a deep desire to land a backflip on roller skates.

🔪 I'm Cutting You Off — Dan Colanduno

After a disastrous psychedelic experience lands him in the hospital, a failed musician calls loved ones with horrible, awkward news. An absurdist comedy about vulnerability, bad timing, and deciding whether to get help or spiral deeper.
