The Cabell County Public Library invites you to join us as we discover the music and magic of

India

Our 19th Annual Library Gala

Saturday, March 28, 2020

Reception – 6:00 p.m.; Dinner – 7:00 p.m.

Don Morris Room, Marshall University Student Center

Join us for the “Music and Magic” of India for our 19th annual Gala, which will be held on March 28, 2020, at the Marshall University Student Center Ballroom. We will use that theme for our menu, wine, decorations and entertainment.

Our event will begin with a reception at 6:00 PM which will include a silent auction and passed hors d'oeuvres, followed by a four-course dinner at 7:00 PM. Entertainment will be provided by the Charleston Ballet Company will perform a Bollywood style dance.  After that, members of the Tri-State Indian Association will perform traditional dances and teach the audience the intricacies of their beautiful dances. We will end the night with music and dancing along with a cash bar after the performances.

Proceeds from this year’s Gala will go towards funding our new library branch in Barboursville. The current library does not have enough space and is also in dire need of multiple repairs due to severe water damage. The Village of Barboursville deserves an inviting hub for lifelong learning, activities, and to encourage community collaboration. Your support for and attendance at the Gala will help us towards our goal. We hope you will join us and enjoy some Indian cuisine, learn about Indian culture, and have a wonderful time as we raise funds for our new Barboursville branch.
